Equipment & Processes

Power Washers

One of our main weapons in the war on graffiti is the Hydro-Tek T4500 power washer. This self-contained, mobile unit has a pressure output of 3,300 psi. The 520 gallon, trailer-mounted tank allows the Chicagoland Graffiti Removal team to clean surfaces independently of an outside water source.

Depending on the scope of the project, we can even use our pressure washers for wet sandblasting and baking soda blasting.

Our pressure washing equipment is housed at our Romeoville, IL facility.

Our Standards

Not every graffiti removal company shares our high standards. In several cases, Chicagoland Graffiti Removal has been called in to complete projects that were poorly executed by other companies. The wrong cleaning method can leave a "ghost" image that can be as unsightly as the graffiti itself.

Our organization specializes in graffiti removal and abatement, and we know the appropriate methods to get the job done right.

Chemical Treatments

Oftentimes, stubborn graffiti will need a chemical treatment in order for it to be completely erased. The Chicagoland Graffiti Removal team proudly uses TSW, Inc. products for its graffiti removal needs. The entire line of TSW products is environmentally safe and extremely effective.

TSW1 Plasti-Master
TSW1 Plasti-Master
– This is a very light chemical cleaner that is used on surfaces that may be damaged by more abrasive solvents. TSW1 would be used to clean clear plastics, glass, anodized aluminum, cars, and trucks

TSW3 Mason-Master
TSW3 Mason-Master
– This biodegradable, heavy-duty cleaner was specifically formulated to remove graffiti from concrete, stone, brick, masonry, and other natural surfaces.

Barrier Coatings

Barrier coatings act as a transparent, protective layer for porous masonry. Breathable barrier coatings keep graffiti on the surface, where cleaners can get to them.

There are two types of graffiti barrier coatings: sacrificial and non-sacrificial. A sacrificial coating will protect the surface it is applied to, but it will wash away with the first cleaning. A non-sacrificial coating can be treated with a compatible cleaning chemical, allowing it to maintain integrity for up to 12 cleanings.

Chicagoland Graffiti Removal uses TSW4 Acryli-Master non-sacrificial anti-graffiti coatings. This water-based coating dries to a clear, satin finish and provides long-lasting protection from graffiti defacement.

An added benefit of applying a non-sacrificial barrier coating is that it acts as a water repellent. Treated surfaces will be more likely to resist water-related stains, efflorescence, and mildew.
